Wireless w/ Radius Authentication

I have a ticket opened on this but I wanted to throw this question here as well. We are attempting to create a managed WiFi connection within Silverback for one of our Corporate SSIDs. The connection is authenticated via a radius server for Active Directory credentials so you must have a Domain User...

Re: AfW - GMAIL option in 5.1.3.9

After reading thru the release notes again I found under "known issues" the below so hopefully this will get addressed soon. In the mean time I guess I will look at the using the AfW app approach??? There are currently some known issues with deploying Gmail however and Matrix42 is working ...

AfW - GMAIL option in 5.1.3.9

With the notice that the Divide Productivity app was being discontinued later this year I started looking into how this would affect out Silverback configuration. From what I read release 5.1.3.9 addresses this by providing additional options for the Android devices as it relates to Exchange Active ...

Re: Automation Workflow

Two thoughts: There is no need to import the license assignments because the system automatically creates license demands after detecting installations that are subject to licensing. Even if software has been installed manually. What needs to be imported is the license inventory (the licenses you p...

Re: Automation Workflow

Let me see if I can explain the scenario - We have just implemented Empirum and Service Store into the Environment. - 99% of all client systems have had all of their software installed manually outside of Empirum. - The clients, at this time, do not use Service Store/ Self Service Portal. - The Asse...

Re: Automation Workflow

I did a little reading and I think I understand how the auto install/uninstall is occurring: The Automation Workflow setting under "Provisioning" section of the Service controls the behavior of the service as it relates to provisioning. When the Service is created automatically by an impor...

Automation Workflow

Regarding the Software Services that are imported into the Service Catalog from Empirum via the connector, is there a way to disable the automatic deployment of the service/package once it is assigned to a client? We are in the process of setting up our Service Catalog and building our Empirum Packa...

WM 8.1.3.1786 Update

Anyone having trouble installing the 8.1.3.1786 Workplace Management update that was just released? I have ran it (just the patch install) and it does nothing but site at a splash screen that says "loading". I have let it run for 60 minutes with no luck. I checked the release notes and for...

Re: Matrix42: Windows Update requires a Reboot

I have been told from support that there is no reboot notice from the agent. The only notification one will receive is if they hover their mouse over the tray icon a small "tag" will appear stating a restart is required. My opinion, I don't like that. If the agent can detect a restart is n...

Re: Matrix42: Windows Update requires a Reboot

We are not seeing the reboot prompt from the Empirum agent when we experience this and if you say this issue was resolved with SP1 Patch1 then I am guessing we have an issue. Thank you for the info, I will open a ticket with support.

Re: Matrix42: Windows Update requires a Reboot

Interesting, I am running 16.1.1.4602 and from reading the release notes for SP1 Update 1 it looks like this feature was added in this release unless I am reading the notes incorrectly. I can understand the logging piece but if the agent turns itself off from any further distributions how are you su...

Matrix42: Windows Update requires a Reboot

Systems that do a disk cleanup or run any type of update that triggers the Windows Update service cause the Empirum agent to go into a "Paused" state. No reboot notice is given and the agent is basically turned off until a manual restart is performed. I have heard from a few people that th...
