If the DebugView says: "DB Connection failed" check the DSN configuration on the depot server -> does it connect successfully when running the test in the DSN setup?

Hmmm connection failed .... somebody from dr oetker gemany has done complete setup here and the upgrade becouse white the old version the supdepot wasn't working.

Now whe have this problem that supdepot (PXE) isn't working thanx for this answere .

Find now out why isnt working the sync is working or must also the new version of sql installed on supdepot?

Becouse that was forgot first time also when we did the upgrade on main Empirum server results that sql log file was full.

There is no need to install any SQL components on the depot server.
Just fix the DSN configuration.

I have fixt this manual only than Empirum can not connect I see that in the debugger.
But the test manual in DSN to connect seems to be work perfect! very strange?

Now i have also sent email to support to your company they told re enter the database username and password and reninstall dhcp.

Done that and now it works to connect (like the old way) I see that in the debuger but only than sometimes it gives this error again from the first post.

And PXE gives cannot find boot server.....

00000634 29.59037018 [1900] DHCP : DB Connection FAILED!
00000635 29.59046936 [1900] DHCP : *********************************************************

Only when I do test in DSN than fails again after reinstall of DHCP from empirum!

Than change it to manually than works but in the dubuger fails agian....

And one strange thing I must everytime behind servername a must fill in slash SQLEXPRESS becouse than it connects perfect not white only servername.

Maybe Becouse sql2005 was installed later after the upgrade this was forgeten by college gives now this strange sympthons.

The main server of empirum works Perfect! no strange things white that .

What do you mean with "change it to manually" - where do you switch what to manually?

I understand that every time you reinstall the PXE-service (not DHCP!) from DBUtil the DB connections fails. So you probably did not set the SA login credentials in DBUtil correctly. Please do so.

SQLEXPRESS: That's the name of the instance - this is required!

OK, please set the password in DBUtil and reinstall the service:
1) Open DBUTIL
2) Go to Actions/Install Configure Services
3) Right click on your PXE server entry
4) Select "Change password of service server"
5) Enter "SA" and your password
6) Reinstall the service

How is your pxe service configured? Which pxe mode do you use?

Could please post the info from your DHCP Option 43?

the option has this

06:01:07:08:07:00:01:01:0A:BA:8A:26:09:0B:00:01:08:4D:61:74:72:69:78:34:32:0A:02:00:4D:FF

PXE is now standing on PXE only (try all three options already)

OK! I'm back from holidays.

If you use dhcp option 43 and 60 then you must use the compatibilty mode for your pxe service.

Could you also please post the ip addresses which you have entered in our dhcp option 43 generator?

Option 60 is necessary to tell the client to use port 4011 for contacting the PXE server. This is necessary if PXE and DHCP Server are installed on the same server (because otherwise both are using the same ports).

Option 43 contains the IP of the PXE server. If you are using 43 your PXE request is directly send to this IP and the client is not broadcasting for its PXE server.

Hope this is helpful.

bbuschmann.
