Lenovo Carbon X1 NETSpy Problemchen

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe hier ein kleines Problem beim NetSpy/PXESpy auf einem Lenovo X1 Carbon Notebooks/Ultrabooks.
Mir wird leider keine Spy-File erzeugt, nach starten des PXE boots und des EPE-Images läuft das Gerät in einer Schleife.
Benutzt habe ich das aktuellste EPE-Image (Empirum PE2 3.14.4-gentoo_3.71) aber ich vermute einfach mal, dass es dennoch keine Treiberunterstützung für mein Gerät bietet.
Das Lenovo Notebook hat auch eine etwas exotischere Netzwerkkarte.
Ich habe wie in diesem Forumeintrag: " https://forum.matrix42.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13783 " beschrieben, einen Versuch mit der Variante NetSpy per USB-Stick gestartet und dabei nur einen EPE-Log bekommen (Dieser ist angehängt).
Interessant ist, dass in der untersten Zeile wohl keine "pcitable" gefunden wird.
Ist das der Hinweis darauf, dass die Netzwerkkarte nicht unterstützt wird ?

Hallo

wir haben nur eine Handvoll von diesen Exoten im Einsatz

Installiert wird mit 3.14.4 - 3.69 mit folgenden Parametern
ramdisk_size=328192 init=/bin/minit CONSOLE=/dev/tty1 vga=0x317 root=/dev/ram0 rw quiet irqpoll pci=nomsi EIS_REINSTALLALLOW=0

wir haben die dinger hier mit SSD am laufen, einige treiber müssen noch eingebunden werden bzw. die lenovo Hotkey Feature.. habe wir als paket erstellt da es damit besser funktioniert.

Die NetKarte ist eine Intel l218 -v (net Peitsche), wichtig wäre vielleicht noch zu erwähnen das solltest du das ganze über die Dockingstation machen bzw. dem PortReplikator dann muss du auch noch den Treiber der Karte aus dem Docking bzw. portrepl. einbinden und als hardware typ hinterlegen.

danke für die Antwort, okay verstehe also was würdest du mir am besten empfehlen wie ich vor zu gehen habe ?
Das Problem an diesem Dock/PortReplikator ist, dass dieser nicht über das Netzwerk angesprochen wird.
Jedenfalls bei uns nicht, die "Peitsche" aber schon.. :mrgreen:

In den BIOS Einstellungen hatte ich noch auf das Legacy verfahren umgestellt, anstelle des UEFI boots (noch mal als Info)...

Hallo

ich habe es nur mit der Peitsche eingebunden. Nach den ersten problemene hatte ich um Internet gesucht und gelesen das es mit dem Replikator nicht richtig funktioniert. War zwar ein älterer beitrag aber hatte mich überzeugt es damit nicht zu weiter testen. Mit der Peitsche ging es relativ schmerzfrei.

Was ich aber schmerzlich erfahren musste war das die Dockingstation/Replikator nach der installation einen treiber braucht damit sie funktioniert. Vielleich kann man den Treiber mit dem EPE laden lassen.
Und Sie wird mit einer anderen MAc adresse inventarisiert.

Habe den TFTP-Cache gelöscht und noch mal das neueste Template 3.71 eingebunden, anschließend den Spy durch laufen lassen (mit angeschlossener NET-Peitsche) und dann hats auch geklappt.

Hat sich alle Infos gezogen, aber blöd ist, dass er trotz des eingestellten 3.71 Templates noch das 3.69 benutzt hat.

Vielleicht für andere auch Interessant, das Dock der X1 Geräte lässt sich per LAN nicht ansprechen.. :?

Wir haben zwar aktuelle Templates am Start (die neuste angezeigte ist 3.7.4), aber wir kriegen dennoch keine SpyDatei erstellt.

Ein weiteres Problem ist, dass die Anleitung zur manuellen Treiber Integration uns nicht weiterhilft:

Dort steht zwar über Punkt 4, dass man auf hexadezimal umrechnen soll, es ist aber nicht ganz klar wie das gehen soll.
Zudem sind unsere Werte scheinbar schon in hexadezimal, aber LÄNGER als 4 Stellen.

Ob man hier nicht vom Backend her es so programmieren könnte, dass man einfach die Werte, die bei Windows angezeigt werden eintragen kann??

Wir würden uns über Hilfe bei den beiden Punkten freuen!

Die Suche nach einem Umrechnungstool war nicht so sehr das Problem, sondern eher, welche Daten aus dem MS Eigenschaftsfenster der Netzwerkkarte genutzt werden sollten und wie diese später angepasst werden sollten.

Schau Dir doch bitte mal die erwähnten Anweisungen oberhalb des Punktes 4 an.
Wir werden da nicht schlau draus und wie gesagt, was ist zu tun, wenn es mehr als 4 Stellen gibt?

So habe ich das noch nie versucht.
Man nimmt i.d.R. die Daten aus dem Spy-Lauf, also aus der Datei unterhalb von empinst\wizard\pxespy
Da ist auch die MachineID.

Genau, das wollten wir ja auch machen, aber da der Netzwerkkartentreiber wohl nicht erkannt wird, geht auch der Spy nicht.
Nun war die Idee, den Netzwerkkartentreiber manuell zu basteln.

Oder ist das zu kompliziert gedacht und es gibt eine einfachere Lösung für dieses Problem?

Ich frage mal so:
Was kann man tun, wenn kein Spy möglich ist, um ein Gerät zur Betriebssysteminstallation per Matrix zum Laufen zu bekommen?

Aber der Treiber den Sie via die Treiberverwaltung einbinden ist ja nur für Windows.
Dadurch wird die EPE Umgebung (linux-basiert) auch nicht besser laufen.

Abgesehen davon kann man aber auch einen USB-Stick an den Rechner stecken, dann schreibt er das SPY-File auf den USB-Stick.

Hat das Gerät Skylake Chips? Dann brauchen Sie auf jeden Fall die EPE4 von Marketplace.Matrix42.com
Sonst wird EPE nicht gehen.

Das mit dem USB Stick geht auch nicht, weil gar kein Spy erstellt werden kann, wenn keine Kommunikation mit dem Rechner erfolgen kann, weil die NIC nicht erkannt wird.

Wir haben heute morgen mal in das Update reingeschaut, sind aber beim Installieren des Hotfixes Hotfix_16.0.3_20160404.1_PRB28659 steckengeblieben.
Gibt es eine genaue Anleitung dazu?
Konkret geht es um die Reinstallation des Empirum PXE Image
Wenn man da unten auf den Button "Installieren" klickt und dann alles ausser Empirum PXE aushakt, kommt danach die abgebildete Fehlermeldung und darauf hin:
"Bei der Installation der ausgewählten Dienste ist ein Fehler aufgetreten."

Auch eine Installation von der bereits auf dem Server liegenden Empirum Subdepot Services 16.0 software per setup.exe schlägt dann fehl und bricht ab.

Anscheinend ist ja die Anmeldung falsch wie die Fehlermeldung im Screenshot sagt.
Also noch mal neu eintragen im Reiter "Installationsanmeldung".
Und bei Domänenkonten immer die Domain voranstellen: mydom\myuser

Bitte nur den PXE-Dienst per DBUtil ODER das Services Paket nutzen.
Und das Services Paket nur über den Agent installieren, nicht per setup.exe!

Wir sind mittlerweile auf folgendem Versionsstand:
Matrix Client Management Software: 16.1.0.4332
EPE Version 4

Es hat sich bei dem Lenovo Carbon X1 Modell 20FC-S02300 allerdings keine Besserung ergeben.
Werder mit dieser Dockingstation, noch mit der Peitsche, die oben abgebildet ist, kann man eine Spy Datei erstellen.

Hätte irgendjemand Tipps fürs uns?
