folgendes zum Testszenario getan.

1. XP PRO SP2 inkl aller Updates
2. .NET 2.0 inkl aller Updates
3. Empirum installiert
4. HF02 installiert
5. Reset vom Rechner
6. Emplocations/ELOC erstellt
7. Standortdatenbank erstellt DBVersion 3.20
8. Tabellen im Standort erstellt
9. Alle notwendigen Dienste installiert
10. Empirum PXE Dienst installiert
11. Reset


So und jetzt wollte ich mich mit der Empirum Management Konsole an meiner Standortdatenbank anmelden. Dies ist jedoch nicht möglich da ich dauerhaft den Fehler erhalte:

"Die ausgewählte Datenbank ist kein Empirum-Standort oder hat nicht die richtige Version!"




Kurz gesagt:
XP inkl aller updates
Empirum + HF02
Datenbanken erstellt, Tables erstellt

in Emplocation kann ich mich mit DBUTIL anmelden aber nicht mit der Empirumkonsole an meiner Standortdatenbank.
Wer kann mir helfen?

Hallo,

die ManagementKonsole neu installieren, also \\%empirumserver%\Install Console\Setup.exe

dann sollte es wieder funktionieren

steht auch in der html ganz unten

Post Installation Steps:

Start Empirum DBUtil and log on to the EmpLocations or ELOC respectively. Confirm the update of the Emplocations or ELOC database. Log on to your location database. Choose the menu "Actions" -> "Update tables". Repeat this step for each location database. The new database version is now 3.22
A detailed description about the database update you can found at the document "Step_by_Step_Guide_Update_to_Empirum_2005_PFP_R2_.pdf", Section 4.1 and 4.2

Reinstall all Empirum Services or daemons.

Wie kann es passieren das solch ein Fehler auftritt, ohne das ich was gemacht habe im empirum?

Ich habe nur empirum HF01 + HF02 installiert?
Ist das ein bekannter Bug?

das ist kein Bug

meist ändern sich auch die Konsolen Teile, sieht man unter "Updated Files" im HTML-File, daher ist das schon sinnvoll die Konsole zu reinstallieren.

das HTML-File liegt nach dem Hotfix auf dem Desktop im Ordner "Empirum 2005 PRO"

was mir gerade noch einfällt, wenn du den PatchManagement V2 nutzen möchtest um Updates für XP zu verteilen solltest du auch das Hotfix 03 installieren.

Was man bei Empirum wissen muss ist,

betrifft wirklich alle, auch die auf dem SERVER.

Ein Hotfix modifiziert immer nur was unterhalb von Empirum$,

Die Konsole liegt aber unter Program Files\Empirum\Console.

Man könnte das wahrscheinlich auch automatisieren, aber dann bräuchte es das Forum ja nicht...
