PXE Problem bei 1 PC

Hallo,

kurze Frage. Ein PC wurde über Empirum aktiviert. OS installiert und fertig. Jetzt wollten wir ihn nochmals aktivieren, um das Betriebssystem nochmals zu installieren. Jedoch sagt er im PXE nur Managed by Empirum und fährt wieder das installierte OS hoch. Kann aktivieren wie ich will. Er lädt kein EPE. Alle Anderen funktionieren.
Unten steht etwas von einer Datei, die er unter Empinst\Wizard..\..\stg1ldr.cfg\ anlegt. Diese Datei mit seiner MAC finden wir nicht.
Liegt das an der Datenbank, dass er PXE nicht aktiviert?

Hallo,

habe auch gerade das Problem, dass die Meldung kommt, dass die stg1ldr.cfg nicht gefunden wurde.
Die Datei mit der MAC Adresse wurde aber erzeugt ...

System ist ein ganz frisches V12.

Gibt es da etwas Neues zu?

Wurde auf dem zweiten Dialog sowohl Betriebssystemkonfiguration (OS.INI) erstellen oder auch PXE aktivieren gesetzt. Falls die letzte Option nicht gesetzt wurde, kann keine Installation durchgezogen werden.

Guten Morgen,

die Lösung ist simpel ... das PXE Image hieß EPE_PE2 .... der Underscore war schuld. Image umbenannt in EPEPE2 und schon läufts ........

Ich habe auch gerade das Problem, dass die Meldung stg1ldr configuration not found erscheint.
In DebugView steht "could not write stagefile stg1ldr.cfg/XX-XX...

Empirum ist Version 2008 R2 HF2 auf Win 2003 Std 32-bit mit SQL 2005 Express
Das Problem trat erst auf, nachdem die PXE-Images neu erstellt wurden.

Löschen Sie mal das PXE Image und erstellen Sie es neu.

PXE-Image löschen

Hallo Herr Ambrosius,

das habe ich bereits getan. Auch ein völlig neues Image erstellt.
Selbes Ergebnis.

Bitte keine Leerzeichen, Unterstriche oder Sonderzeichen im Image Namen verwenden.

Haben Sie schon mal ein Kernel Update durchgeführt?

1. Empirum Preinstallation Environment (EPE) Quellen aktualisieren
Für Empirum 2008:
ftp.matrix42.de/pub/Empirum/2008/EPE_Image/
Erstellen Sie ein Backup des gesamten Verzeichnisses ".\EmpInst\Wizard\Source\emp_pe2" an einem
alternativen Ort und entpacken Sie die heruntergeladene Datei "emp_pe2.zip" in den schon vorhandenen
Ordner (zip-Datei unter ".\EmpInst\Wizard\Source\emp_pe2\" ablegen und in dieses Verzeichnis
extrahieren). Dadurch werden alle relevanten Dateien ersetzt. Das Verzeichnis muss nach der
Aktualisierung die gleiche Struktur mit den gleichen Dateien enthalten, wie vor dem Update.

2. Danach prüfen Sie, ob in der Datei "custom.pcimap" des EPE-Quellverzeichnisses Zeilen mit dem
Modulnamen e1000 beginnend existieren. Falls ja, entfernen Sie bitte alle Zeilen die mit e1000 beginnen.

3. Im Anschluss müssen alle EPE-Images über die Empirum Management Console neu erstellt werden, die
mit den neuen Quelldateien gebildet werden sollen (Konfiguration > OS-Installer > Bootdisk >
Diskettenkonfiguration > Datei öffnen und von den vorhandenen Einstellungen noch einmal das PXEImage
neu erstellen).

4. Setzen Sie in Ihrem EPE-Image (Konfiguration > OS-Installer > Bootdisk > Diskettenkonfiguration > Datei
> öffnen) folgende Kernelparameter.
ramdisk_size=328192 init=/bin/minit CONSOLE=/dev/tty1 vga=0x317 root=/dev/ram0 rw irqpoll pci=nomsi
Fahren Sie fort, wie in Grundlegendes unter Punkt 3 beschrieben

Habe hierzu noch folgendes in der KB gefunden:

Unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen meldet ein PXE- Client den Fehler: Stg1ldr Configuration not found

Bitte prüfen Sie mit DebugView die Ausgabe vom PXE- Dienst.

Vermutlich werden Sie die folgende Fehlermeldung erhalten: Could not write stage file

Prüfen Sie dann bitte die Dateisystemrechte von:

Empirum\EmpInst\Wizard\Image\PXEImages\Stg1ldr.cfg
Empirum\EmpInst\Wizard\Image\PXEImages\Stg2ldr.cfg

Diese Verzeichnisse werden unter bestimmten Umständen beim Update nicht mit ausreichenden Rechten erstellt.
Dann kann der Empirum PXE- Dienst dort keine Bootdateien erstellen, was man auch im DebugView durch eine Fehlermeldung erkennen kann.


Passen Sie bitte in diesem Fall einfach die Dateisystemrechte der Verzeichnisse so an, daß die Empirum- Dienste hier Dateien anlegen und löschen dürfen (Ändern- Recht) und testen Sie dann den PXE- Dienst nochmal.

Im zweiten Log ist der Fehler sichtbar:

der PXE Dienst darf nicht schreiben.
