Eine Frage, die gelegentlich aufkommt ist die nach dem User-Teil der Installation. Konfigurationsfiles, Startmenu usw.

Das Empirum startet den Package Robot als System-User.
Was ist dann mit dem evtl. notwendigen User-Teil der Installation?

Also wenn das Paket nicht für "All Users" installiert wird.

Die Antwort ist ganz einfach und entspricht der Empirum Philosophie die auch für andere Pakete gilt.

Wenn ein Setup neben dem Maschinenteil einen expliziten User-Teil benötigt, dann muss man diesen mit Empirum wie gewohnt separat von dem Robot-Paket paketieren.

Dieses separate Paket wird dann entsprechend beim Logon des Users ausgeführt und richtet den User-Teil ein.

Dies ist an sich kein Problem, den der User-Teil ist zumeist nicht viel mehr, als ein paar Verknüpfugnen und Konfigurationsdateien.

Diese werden dann nachinstalliert wenn sich der User an einem PC anmeldet, wie bei Empirum üblich.

Kurze Frage:

Startet Empirum den Package Robot als User, der im Agent hinterlegt ist, also z.B. als Domänen-Admin? So wäre es richtig oder?

Genau. Im Endeffekt ist ein compiliertes Package Robot Script nur eine EXE wie jede andere EXE auch. Man kann sie im Maschinen- oder Userteil starten.

Danke Hendrik, schön mal wieder was von dir zu lesen.

Deine Posts haben oft etwas geniales und einfaches. Zum Beispiel der Satz oben.

Der Satz ist so göttlich, wenn ich mal mein Buch über den Package Robot überarbeite schreibe ich das auf Seite 1 bei der EXE Erstellung als Merksatz hin. :lol:

If the user part is just some files and regkeys I would diff the first start of the app and create the user part from the result (probably 90% of the apps).
Otherwise I would opt for the MPR technique and call the MPR script from the user part of the package:
