Set file association with package

Hello everyone

A question in the round:
Has anyone ever had to set a file association on many clients at machine level (not for the user) via Empirum?
If so, how was it implemented? There are many approaches on the net, but somehow everything doesn't really fit.

Background:
We have a file type with the extension .jt.
These files are to be opened with a special program.
I would like to give this assignment to Windows directly in the package of the corresponding program.
If possible in the machine part and not for each user individually.

I didn't find anything in the forum, if I missed that, feel free to put the link to the post.
Maybe I don't see the simplest option anymore because of all the approaches.
