Empirum Agent v16 doppelt als Icon vorhanden

Hallo Zusammen,

ist das Problem bekannt das bei dem Empirum Agent v16 das Empirum Icon zwei mal auftaucht? Kann man da was machen?
Wir haben das Problem auf einigen PCs. Bei fast allen war es bei der Installation aufgetaucht und ist dann beim Reboot verschwunden aber bei einigen leider auch nach dem Reboot nicht weg.

Gibt es dafür eine Abhilfe?

Bei genaueren Analyse haben wir folgendes rausgefunden:

Normalerweise startet die Eris.exe als Service und der Eris_UI als Benutzerprozess mit dem Parameter /hide.

Bei den betroffenen Rechnern startet als Unterprozess der Eris.exe der Eris_UI Prozess nochmal mit den Parametern /hide /nopoll. Seltsamer weise ist die Startlocation der HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\erisui Schlüssel. Dort gibt es aber nur einen Eintrag.

Sind wir die einzigen mit dem Problem??? Version 16.0.0.1656 v16 also.

Für Tips wäre ich dankbar...

Für diesen Fehler gibt es bereits einen Fix. Einfach beim Support nachfragen.

Mit dem Fix haben wir nun das Problem das das Icon gar nicht angezeigt wird.
Kennt ihr das auch?

Hi,

Nein, das kenne ich nicht. Nur auf Servern mit installierten Terminal Services wird die ERIS_UI.exe nicht gestartet. Aber das ist nichts neues.
Läuft die exe bei euch?

Das Problem hat sich geklärt. Beim kopieren des Fixes wurden wahrscheinlich irgendwelche Dateien nicht sauber kopiert und der Agent war nicht vollständig. Wir haben den Agenten von der CD kopiert und dann den Patch sauber drüber und alles ist gut. Das der Terminalserver das Icon nicht zeigt ist klar.

Ich klinke mich hier mal mit ein wenn es gestattet ist.
Bei einem unserer Kunden zeigt sich das Verhalten, dass ERIS_UI.exe bei Systemstart bzw. Useranmeldung nur sporadisch gestartet wird. Die meiste Zeit bleibt das Icon unsichtbar und entsprechender Prozess taucht im Task-Manager natürlich auch nicht auf.

Beende und Starte ich den ERIS Dienst jedoch manuell, wird ERIS-UI.exe jedes Mal erfolgreich gestartet.

Windows7 Client
Advanced Agent 16.0.1.1709
Empirum 16.0.1.1700

Rechner ist frisch installiert und hat den Agenten via Empirumagent.bat erhalten. Also kein Update einer älteren Agenten Version.

Hallo Heeg,

Hier wäre es interessant den Log vom Empirum Service zu aktivieren. Dann mal den PC Neustarten und falls die ERIS_UI nicht gestartet wird das ERIS.exe_log.emplog hier anhängen.

Entscheiden erscheint mir hier der Teil:

Augenscheinlich wird hier bewusst entschieden, ErisUI nicht zu starten.
Ich muss gestehen, dass ich nicht genau verstehe warum dies so ist. Wird hier überprüft ob ein User angemeldet ist?
Wenn ja, warum wird dies nicht erkannt?

Das ist sehr komisch.

Bei mir ist es so das beim Hochfahren des Clients dann im Log eben diese Hinweise finde:

Da ist natürlcih noch niemand angemeldet.

Sobald ich mich aber anmelde komm dann sofort Logeinträge wie bei dir beim Service Restart.

Ich habe das Log jetzt mal etwas länger mitlaufen lassen und es ist schon so wie Du sagst, es nach Anmeldung erneut überprüft ob ein User angemeldet ist und dann versucht ERIS_UI.exe zu starten. Somit augenscheinlich erst mal alles ok. Sorry, da hatte ich also vorher Tomaten auf den Augen.
Was jedoch seltsam erscheint ist, dass ERIS_UI augenscheinlich auch gleich wieder beendet wird.

Als Hinweis:
13:24 Uhr habe ich mich an dem Rechner angemeldet. Ab dem Zeitpunkt habe ich die Log Einträge kopiert.

Die Log Einträge bei dir schaun aber bei mir genauso aus. Nur bei mir läuft die ERIS_UI danach noch.

Hast du schon mal ins Eventlog geschaut? Habt ihr den Applocker aktiv das der vielleicht die exe blockiert?

Problem scheint beseitigt zu sein.
Nachdem ich die EMPAGENT.XML neu erstellt habe, wurde die ERIS_UI plötzlich bei jeder Useranmeldung erfolgreich gestartet. Muss ich jetzt nicht verstehen..... Aber danke für die Unterstützung.
