Funktionierendes paket bringt unter XP Fehler

Hallo

wir verteilen Outlook 2000 SP3 auf NT4 und W2K mit dem Befehl

call \\%empirumserver%Configurator$\Packages\G\Microsoft\Outlook\9.0\%land%\setup.exe" TRANSFORMS="\\%empirumserver%Configurator$\Packages\G\Microsoft\Outlook\9.0\%land%\OLK2SP3.MST" /wait /qb-

Auf den o.g. Maschinen funktioniert die Installation ohne Probleme.

Auf den Systemen mit Windows XP SP2 kommt es allerdings zu einem Fehler.

Woran kann dies liegen bzw. kennt jemand einen Lösungsansatz.

Interessant wäre zu wissen, was es da für einen Fehler gibt...
und hier hoffe ich nur, dass es nicht auch in der Setup.inf fehlt (rot markiert):

Hallo Herr Beimel,

in der Setup.inf ist die Syntax o.k. Hier hat leider der Fehlerteufel zugeschlagen.

Der Fehler auf den XP Systemen: Die Setup.exe wird nicht ausgeführt bzw. auch nicht gefunden.

Mittlerweile habe ich das Paket umgebaut und nutze den net use Befehl.
Rufe ich jetzt die Setup.exe von dem gemappten Laufwerk ist alles o.k.
Auf XP und auf W2K.

Ich habe die Vermutung, dass XP keinen Call auf \\Server\Verzeichnis\setup.exe mag.
Der Call auf M:\setup.exe funktioniert.

... und noch ein Paket.

Unter W2K ist alles in Ordnung und bei XP wird die MSI nicht gestartet.
Ohne Fehlermeldung, das Script läuft einfach durch.

Der Aufruf dazu:

Call MsiExec /I"%SRC%\Files\pcahost.msi" /qb-!

Bitte mal an den MSI-Befehl Parameter zur Erstellung eines Logfiles anhängen und dort reinschauen.

Hallo Herr Ambrosius

mit dem Aufruf

Call MsiExec /I"%SRC%\Files\pcahost.msi" /qb-! /L "c:\temp\pca.log"

wird zwar die Log-Datei geschrieben, allerdings ohne Inhalt.

Der MSI Aufruf wird angestartet und sofort wieder beendet.
In Empirum wird die Installation als Success angezeigt.

Beim Aufruf ohne /qb-! bekomme ich die Meldung vom MSI-Installer, dass das zu installierende Paket nicht gefunden werden kann.

Allerdings ist unter W2K alles in ordnung und das Paket wird installiert.

Dann würde ich dieses Problem wirklich mal an den Symantec Support weiterleiten.

P.S.: Eine Idee noch:
Wexeln Sie mal mit "cd %SRC%\Files" vorher in das richtige Verzeichnis und rufen Sie dann das MSI ohne Pfad auf.

Hallo Herr Ambrosius,

das Problem stellt sich leider etwas globaler dar.

Auch der Aufruf für Acrobat call "%src%\%land%\AReader.msi" /qb-
zeigt das gleiche Verhalten.

Die MSI wird gestartet und ohne Installation beendet. Das Paket wird unter Empirum als Success angezeigt.

Ich teste jetzt unter einer neuen XP SP2 Installation. Ohne jegliche andere SW.
Die Firewall, auto. Update sind deaktiviert.

Auch läuft das PM nicht. Es startet und bricht bei ca. 20% des ersten Prüflaufs ab. Ohne jegliche Meldung.

Pakete ohne MSI sind o.k. und werden installiert z.B. Novell Netware Client


Alle Paket laufen unter W2K und NT4 ohne Probleme.

Der Fehler ist gefunden.

Wenn ich die IP-Adresse des Empirumserver nicht im Internet Explorer unter / Internetoptionen / Sicherheit / Lokales Intranet sondern unter / Vertrauenswürdige Sites eintrage, funktionieren alle Pakete.

Warum dies allerdings so ist, würde mich schon interessieren. Diese Frage wird aber wohl nur "Bill" beantworten können.
