Self Provisioning Eintrag des Computers im AD
Hallo alle Zusammen,
in Hamburg auf der Empirum Roadshow habe ich erfahren das man über das Self Provisioning die Computer automatisch in bestimmte, definierte OUs im AD automatisch beim durchführen von Self Provisioning hinzufügen kann. Es soll über Variablen gehen. Kann jemand ein paar Tips geben wie vorzugehen ist? In der Doku habe ich leider nichts gefunden.
Ich würde gerne das im Self Provisioning bei der Gruppe Vertrieb auch die Computer unter OU=Vertrieb landen.
Wäre für Tips und Hilfe dankbar.

Dafür einfach in der CUSTOM-EIS-Datei begin_win2000.eis folgendes einfügen:

; ggf. Überschreiben der Ziel-OU des PCs im AD wenn Variable "AD-OU" gesetzt
READINI %RD%OS.INI OS_Variable AD-OU Custom-MachineObjectOU
IF "%Custom-MachineObjectOU%"<>"" THEN
SET MachineObjectOU="%Custom-MachineObjectOU%"
ENDIF
und anschließend in der Konsole die OS-Variable AD-OU anlegen und auf der Gruppe Vertrieb mit dem entsprechenden Wert füllen.

Klappt wunderbar, eine Kleinigkeit ist etwas störend. Ich bekomme die Variable zur Änderung durch das SP angezeigt und muss sie bestätigen. Kann man das verhindern? Ich habe sie in der Konsole definiert und sie soll nicht mehr änderbar sein wenn Benutzer vor dem Rechner sind.

SP ist Self Provisioning?
Sollte eigentlich nicht angezeigt werden - es sei denn Sie haben das in den Self Provisioning Einstellungen so definiert.
Wenn es da drin ist => Löschen
Wenn es nicht da drin ist => Call aufmachen

Ich habe die Variable AD-OU in der Empirum Management Console unter Extras -> Variablendefinitionen als Variablentyp Computer und Kontrollelement Text erstellt. Null Wert erlauben und Standard leer.

Nein, denn dann wird das ja immer abgefragt.

Vielen Dank für die super Tips. Ich habe da passend zum Thema noch eine Frage.
Ist es möglich im SP auch die Seriennummer von Windows abzufragen, eingeben und den Installationsprozess durchlaufen zu lassen. Wir installieren OEM Versionen und müssen die Seriennummer immer eingeben. Früher ging es über die custom Variable und ein Customscript aber mit SP soll das alles ja ohne die Console möglich sein. Gibtr es da einen Weg?

Geht genauso wie oben beschrieben, nur heißt die Variable ProductID.

Würde ich auf jeden Fall machen damit ggf. auch eine default-Seriennummer stehen bleiben kann wenn die Eingabe leer war.

Ich habe die Variable im SP ProductID genannt und im Script auch. Jetzt meldet der winxp Installer einen Fehler und das Feld Product Key bei der Winxp installation ist leer??? *confused* habe ich da etwas falsch verstanden???
